Vice-President & CEO
Nate Secord serves as the driving force behind The Green Team, leveraging his expertise and innovative thinking to propel the company forward since its establishment in 2016. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Business from SUNY Brockport, along with dual minors in Art and Anthropology, and an Independent Study focused on African Drum Making, reflecting his diverse interests and insights.
With over a decade of experience in partnering with New York State and utility companies on energy incentive programs, Nate has a proven track record in designing and implementing state-of-the-art commercial lighting solutions and electric vehicle charging station systems. The Green Team’s accreditation by the Better Business Bureau is a testament to the dedication to trusted relationships built with clients and utility providers. Nate’s unwavering commitment to community service and eco-friendly solutions underpins The Green Team’s mission, positioning the company as a leader in the energy efficiency sector.

Kristin Secord
President & CFO
Since the inception of The Green Team, Kristin has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from SUNY Brockport and eight years of experience in environmental consulting, she possesses a deep understanding of environmental implications of efficient lighting solutions and the growing fleet of electric vehicles.
In her capacity as President and CFO, Kristin handles and oversees the management of EVSE project closeout, ensuring that all documentation is in order for incentive procurement upon completion for customers. Her responsibilities extend from accounts payable and receivable to employee benefits, health and safety compliance, insurance adherence, and media marketing, where she combines financial acumen with a strong emphasis on corporate responsibility and integrity.
Kristin’s leadership style promotes a supportive atmosphere where all team members are encouraged to leverage their strengths, fostering collaboration and innovation for The Green Team’s mission. Her leadership and strategic vision is instrumental in not only meeting business goals but encompasses the intention of a sustainable future.
Julia Dean
Project Manager – Lighting & Controls
Jules is a pivotal player in driving The Green Team’s success with LED lighting projects, managing each phase with expertise and dedication. With a Business Degree from Bryant and Stratton College, she combines her sharp analytical skills with a relentless work ethic to deliver first-class results.
In her role as Project Manager, Jules expertly navigates the intricate landscape of client and utility relationships. She takes the lead on crafting compelling customer proposals, securing incentives, and managing the essential closeout paperwork that ensures project success. Her keen ability to anticipate challenges results in remarkable project execution that aligns with The Green Team’s mission.
As a DarkSky member, as well as a student member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Jules is passionate about energy efficiency and sustainable solutions for our planet. Her commitment to excellence makes her an essential asset to The Green Team.
Andy Chen
IT Assistant
Andy has become a valuable member of The Green Team, bringing a solid foundation in Computer Science. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo in 2022. With a problem-solving mindset and versatile technical skills, Andy supports the team through website development, system administration, and digital operations.
With a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, Andy explores new tools and technologies to improve workflows, automate processes, and tackle challenges creatively. With a passion for user experience and interface design, he analyzes how people interact with technology and applies thoughtful detail-oriented design principles to create systems that feel intuitive and purposeful.
His behind-the-scenes work at The Green Team helps keep systems secure, streamlined, and running smoothly.
Ray Difasi
Administrative & Marketing Assistant
Ray brings a unique blend of expertise to The Green Team. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in holistic health practices and human nutrition from the University at Buffalo in 2016, she went on to earn two applied science degrees at Finger Lakes Community College, focusing on biotechnology and horticulture with a flair for medicinal plants.
As an enthusiastic herbalist, landscape artist, and organic gardener – Ray infuses creativity with sustainability, delivering a deep understanding of nature in all of her work. Her thirst for knowledge has driven her to further develop her skill-set in the art of lighting installation with The Green Team.
As our Administrative and Marketing Assistant, Ray spearheads innovative media campaigns while providing support across various sectors of the business with an exuberant and positive attitude.

The Jack Pack Is the loving Force and Balance that keeps the Green Team moving. From office pets to help your fidgety hands or letting you know when you need to go for a walk. The Pack provides all the Loves and security for the Green Team 24/7. The pack helps with all projects so please feel free to give them some pets and a treat if you feel inclined. They do not apologize for the hair.
